Show Me a Personalized Fall Fireplace……as easy as 1,2,3!
The heart of the home, the fireplace, is a focal point for seasonal decorating.
This beautiful Country French home is no exception.
Beautiful mantel “before” Show Me Decorating Fall DIY transformation
Take a look at your everyday decor and edit. On this mantel we removed the candle sticks, bowl, frame, tray and glass candle holder. The rooster and potted topiary stayed to be part of the fall decorating.
Now it is time to select the fall decorating items. A green garland traditionally used at Christmas is a great base to start with. Wired fall garlands can be layered and wired in, no glue needed. We call it making the garlands one!
Green base garland, twister grass garland in fall colors and a fall leaf garland.
Twister grass fall garland is layered first, use green wire branches to twist on.
Next layer on a fall leaf garland, using green branches to twist on
Now it is time to put the garland on the mantel.
Show Me Tip: Measure your mantel to determine how many garlands you will need for your Fall DIY. Green garlands and some novelty garlands are 9′ long. Next decide how you will attach the garlands to the mantel if it is not wide enough for the garlands to lay on top. You can use nails, tea-cup hooks, wire and even C-clamps.
We used 1 of each garland for this decorating Fall project.
Half bows work well in garlands and are easy to make.
The half bow made out of wired ribbon coordinates with the fall color story.
The Fall Fireplace mantel is completed with a Harvest sign, and metal pumpkins.
This garland could also be used on a buffet, bookcase, or as the centerpiece for your dining table.
Celebrate the season and decorate key areas in your home for family and friends to enjoy. Choose quality ingredients, wired garlands and florals, Wired ribbon, and focal points to make a statement. Personalizing an item with the family name or initial adds a personal touch. Edit everyday decor leaving complimentary items that coordinate with your seasonal decorating.
This beautiful Country french home welcomes in the cool crisp air of fall and celebrates the harvest season. How will you decorate and celebrate?
Happy Fall Decorating y’all,
Becky and Kathy
